IDP Philippines and McCare Global Consulting, Inc. have officially opened a new Computer-Delivered International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Shared Lab in Jaro, Iloilo City. The facility aims to provide more Filipinos, particularly in Iloilo and neighboring provinces, with access to the world's leading high-stakes English language proficiency test.
The new IDP-McCare IELTS Shared Lab is located on the 2nd floor of 402 Arguelles Building in Jaro, Iloilo City, across from Robinsons Jaro. The lab offers computer-delivered IELTS tests on Wednesdays to Sundays, with 9am and 2pm sessions. Additionally, the lab offers paper-based IELTS tests once or twice a month.
The computer-delivered IELTS test is four hours long, with a 30-minute listening test, a one-hour reading test with 40 questions, and a one-hour writing test, all administered by IELTS experts. The lab also offers brand-new computers and interview rooms for test-takers.
Compared to a paper-based IELTS exam, test results for the computer-delivered test can be received within 3-5 days, as opposed to 13 days for the paper-based test. Test-takers can also book their test at home any day through the IDP app, which also offers preparation materials, scores, and links to test registration.
