ILOILO CITY, Philippines (June 17) — Carelon Global Solutions Philippines, a company that specializes in contact center and clinical nurse operations, has inaugurated a new site in Western Visayas at the SM Strata Tower 1 in Mandurriao.

Carelon Global Solutions Philippines Chief Country Executive Nicki Agcaoili led the event that marked the expansion of the organization to five locations in the region.
“This expansion in office space supports not only the goal for Western Visayas to become the HIMS capital of the world, but also signifies the next phase in Carelon’s growth with enhanced capabilities, increased capacity, and deeper investment in innovation and talent development in the region,” said Agcaoili. HIMS refers to the healthcare information management services sector.

Last May, Carelon Global Solutions Philippines also unveiled its Innovation Hub in Taguig, a dynamic space built to spark creativity and inspire collaboration among associates.
Aside from the new facilities, Carelon Global Solutions Philippines also announced the expansion in its capabilities, or services rendered and offered. From about 80 last year, the organization’s capabilities have since grown to almost 100.

“The various capabilities are deployed strategically across sites to ensure business continuity and promote talent development,” Agcaoili explained. “This enhancement in services is part of the larger goal to provide opportunities for and nurture the world-class Filipino workforce.”
Western Visayas as HIMS capital

Agcaoili said the goal for Western Visayas to become the preferred destination for HIMS is “near the horizon.”
“We are partnering with local government units not only in Iloilo but in the surrounding cities as well to develop the talent and support the goal for the HIMS industry. With the way Western Visayas is positioned right now, with the infrastructure, innovations, and demand, we’re well projected to be the HIMS capital,” he announced during the site inauguration.
Agcaoili added that Carelon Global Solutions Philippines is investing in and developing talent, even those who may not have a background in healthcare, towards the collective goal of the industry. The organization has opened its doors to senior citizens and persons with disabilities and continues to provide opportunities for fulfilling and productive careers.
The Carelon executive further estimates that the company will reach this year its goal of 10,000 full-time employees across its sites in Metro Manila and Western Visayas.
The 10,000 mark includes the target of 5,000 associates in Iloilo to support the ambition for the region to become the HIMS capital.
Recognized for workplace culture, leadership
Carelon Global Solutions was named the 9th Best Workplace in the Philippines this year under the category with more than 1,000 employees by Great Place To Work, which calls itself the global authority on workplace culture.
The company also landed at no. 15 of the Philippines’ Best Workplaces in IT-BPM 2025, another list by Great Place To Work for companies in the IT-BPM industry.
For five years running now, Carelon Global Solutions Philippines has been certified as a Great Place To Work. According to its website, Great Place To Work grants certifications to companies that meet its standards for employee experience and a high-trust work environment.
“We have systems and processes in place to ensure that our associates are taken care of, holistically healthy, and the best versions of themselves, since it translates to the quality of work that we do,” said Agcaoili.
In Solaia: The IT-BPM Awards 2025, Carelon Global Solutions Philippines was named as a finalist in the following categories: Global Capability Center of the Year, Company for Regional Development of the Year, and HIMS Company of the Year.
Solaia: The IT-BPM Awards is an annual platform that celebrates organizations, companies, and individuals that “contribute to the industry’s continued growth, innovation, and resilience,” according to the organizers.
