Cebu Pacific Hits 100 Aircraft Milestone with New A330neo

Cebu Pacific (CEB) reached a major aviation milestone on July 18 as it marked the delivery of its 100th aircraft—its newest Airbus A330neo. That makes CEB the first local airline in Philippine history to operate a 100-strong fleet and the largest A330neo operator in the entire Asia-Pacific region. Not bad for a low-cost carrier that started out with just one domestic route!

What’s so special about this plane?

The 12th A330neo to join CEB’s fleet isn’t just another airplane—it’s one of the greenest, quietest, and most efficient widebody jets in the sky.

  • Capacity: 459 seats (yes, that many)
  • Seats: Lightweight Recaro seats designed for long hauls
  • Power: USB-A and USB-C at every seat
  • Noise: 60% smaller noise footprint
  • Fuel use: 25% less fuel per flight, or just 1.4L per seat for every 100km
  • Engine: Rolls-Royce Trent 7000
  • Wing: Composite material for smoother flights

The cabin is giving Cebu vibes

CEB tapped LIFT Aero Design to style the cabin—and it shows. Think modern Filipino flair with a splash of island inspiration:

  • Teal panel lighting inspired by the Philippines’ clear waters
  • Mango motifs on walls in honor of Cebu’s famous fruit
  • Puso-inspired seat materials (yup, the hanging rice!)
  • Eagle-inspired carpet details
  • Yellow and blue seat accents to distinguish premium from standard seating
  • Even the lavatories got a glow-up—with golden yellow walls and a mango detail

Sustainability on board

The A330neo is CEB’s greenest aircraft ever. It’s quieter, uses less fuel, and emits significantly less CO₂ per passenger. This plays into the airline’s goal of going all-NEO by 2028, while still keeping fares affordable (bless).
