Iloilo City — The Private Electric Power Operators Association (PEPOA) will hold its highly anticipated General Membership Meeting on September 10–12, 2025, with MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) as the gracious host. The event, themed “Embracing the Future: Integrating Smarter Energy Innovation,” will bring together PEPOA members and key energy sector stakeholders to explore cutting-edge technologies such as smart metering and renewable energy innovations that advance reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity across the Philippines.
A major highlight of the gathering is the public consultation organized by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), scheduled for September 11 at the Iloilo Convention Center (ICON). Commissioners Floresinda B. Digal, Marko Romeo L. Fuentes, Amante A. Liberato, and Paris G. The Private Electric Power Operators Association (PEPOA) is a nationwide organization composed of privately owned distribution utilities (DUs) franchised to operate electric distribution systems across the Philippines. PEPOA is committed to upholding the highest standards of electric service, fostering cooperation among private electric utilities, and collaborating closely with government agencies to address industry challenges. The association advocates for policies that benefit both its members and the broader public, ensuring the delivery of reliable and sustainable electricity.
“This forum is a powerful convergence of minds with a mission where every idea and decision will spark solutions,” said Roel Castro, president of MORE Power and host of the event. “Through embracing smarter energy innovations today, we are lighting the way for the next generation. If we unite as one energy family, we can illuminate not just homes and industries, but the nation’s future.”
Under the leadership of PEPOA President Atty. Ranulfo Ocampo, the association continues to play a vital role in shaping policies and initiatives that enhance the capabilities of private distribution utilities. His guidance ensures that PEPOA members remain at the forefront of industry developments, driving improvements in service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
