Ilonggo Artists Transform Festive Walk Into Easter Art Showcase

Ilonggo artists take center stage this Easter season as Festive Walk Iloilo in Mandurriao unveils "Easter Art Masters," an exhibition of handpainted giant Easter eggs by artists from Tagatig Tigbauan.

On view through April 21, the showcase presents a curated display of large-scale egg sculptures highlighting Ilonggo creativity. Each piece draws from local culture, nature, and everyday life, reflecting themes of renewal, harmony, and artistic expression.

Participating artists include Jason Bandong, Sid Tendencia, Clark Soriano, John Christian Barrios, and Jeff Ryan Modilla, each offering distinct interpretations that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.

The initiative forms part of the expanding cultural landscape within the Megaworld Iloilo Business Park, which has been officially declared as Iloilo City's Center for Culture and Arts, reinforcing its role as a key platform for artistic expression and creative exchange.

Festive Walk Iloilo also anchors its Easter programming with "Easter Wonderland" on April 5 at the Indoor Atrium, featuring a lineup of family-oriented activities and themed experiences that complement the exhibit.

At the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA), also located within the township, French artist Henri Lamy's "Sovereign Faces" continues to draw attention. Continuing through May 17, the exhibition presents textured portraits exploring identity, representation, and the evolving role of women across cultures through Lamy's signature palette knife technique and kinetic expressionist style.

Together, these initiatives reinforce Megaworld Iloilo Business Park's role as a dynamic platform for both local and international art, contributing to Iloilo's growing identity as a center for culture and the arts
