With Iloilo's booming tourism industry, many local cuisines are still waiting to be discovered.
Amid the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, local officials and industry professionals in Iloilo's First Congressional District teamed up which lead to the creation of Southern Iloilo Health Zone.
It documents local efforts of the officials and other teams as well as the challenges faced by various industries in the new normal.
In one of the videos uploaded in the page, a delectable cuisine was showcased.
Francis Talento, a seafarer by profession and a carinderia owner in Tubungan, shares his carinderia's best-seller is the Native Chicken Kare-Kare, the local version of chicken curry.
He said that their carinderia helps a lot of frontliners as it is situated near the municipal building.

The Southern Iloilo Health Zone also features the stories of the frontiers, the transport group, the OFWs, and the business sectors.
It is the initiative of First District Representative Janette Loreto-Garin and former Congressman Richard S. Garin, together with the mayors and leaders of Southern Iloilo.
"The unique district in the entire country especially information on health issues specifically on crushing COVID, and more information on what is happening to the First Congressional District of Iloilo." Richard Garin said in his YouTube channel.
"We deliver promptly the moment they call or message us or whenever it is needed." He added.
However, we have to wait until the coronavirus is curbed so we can immerse ourselves in the culture of the First District.
As the tagline goes, "We Heal As One. We Are One in the 1st Congressional District of Iloilo!"
