The Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. (IFFI), with the full support of Mayor Jerry P. Trenas and the Iloilo City Government, is pleased to announce the much-anticipated homecoming of Ms. Rabiya Occena Mateo, Miss Iloilo-Universe 2020, and the newly-crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
Ms. Mateo is set to arrive in Iloilo City on November 12-13, 2020.
Her schedule of activities will include the following:
November 12, 2020, Thursday: Motorcade and courtesy calls with government officials (morning) and press conference (afternoon).
November 13, 2020, Friday: Community outreach (morning), ceremonial lighting of the Ilonggo Christmas Parol of Hope (afternoon), and IFFI Dinner (evening).
The complete details of the route of the motorcade will be announced separately, but this will include the major streets and districts of Iloilo City. IFFI is encouraging Ilonggos to wear Red and to give Rabiya a warm welcome while maintaining proper social distancing and observing the necessary health protocols.
Rabiya's homecoming is made even more special as she will have an advanced birthday celebration with her fellow Ilonggos. She will turn 24 on November 14, 2020.
These events are made through the efforts of the Miss Iloilo Committee of IFFI, headed by its Chairpersons Ms. Sara Pena and Ms. Beverly Rosales and Director Kevin Piamonte, together with the Iloilo City Government, with Tourism Officer Ms. Junel Ann Divinagracia as Lead Person.
