Ultimate, also known as ultimate frisbee, is a captivating non-contact team sport where participants hurl a flying disc by hand. With its origins dating back to 1968, the game is renowned for its unique self-officiating system, even at the highest levels of competition, as emphasized by the USA Ultimate Organization. Teams earn points by successfully passing the disc to a teammate in the opposing end zone. The sport follows basic rules such as players not taking steps while holding the disc, interceptions, incomplete passes, and passes out of bounds resulting in turnovers.

Now in its 12th year, Huck o Hulyo originated with four teams in 2009 and is skillfully organized by the Iloilo Ultimate Players Association (IUPA), a grassroots organization formed in 2006, comprising players from the Iloilo province. Over the years, Huck o Hulyo has evolved into one of the largest frisbee tournaments in the country, recognized by the Philippine Flying Disc Association (PFDA), a non-profit organization overseeing flying disc activities nationwide.

This year's edition featured the participation of eight competitive teams: Boracay, Shake and Bake, Chuables, Bingawan Spirits, Fusion, Ringer Legends, Mandarayu, and Disc Connected.

The Most Valuable Players in Pool A were JM Sacapano from Boracay and Ysa Chua from Chuables. Meanwhile, Zwo Javier from Ringer Legends and Charlyn Zo from Mandarayu were hailed as the Most Valuable Players in Pool B. In the finals, Paul Mariano from Boracay and Roselyn Taneo emerged as the Finals MVPs in Pool A, while Neco Tupas and Cess Trinidad from Fusion claimed the Finals MVP titles in Pool B. Recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship, Disc Connected was awarded the Most Spirited Team accolade.
