The holiday spirit shone bright at Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo as it officially welcomed the festive season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony titled “Paskonstelasyon: A Fiesta Christmas Celebration.”
In partnership with SOS Children’s Village and Save the Children, this year’s event celebrated the warmth of Filipino Christmas traditions while sharing the light of generosity and community. Guests gathered at the hotel’s grand lobby, transformed into a vibrant fiesta setting, complete with colorful décor, festive music, and the joyful energy of the season.
The evening began with welcoming remarks from Ms. Natalie Lim, General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo, who expressed her gratitude to the hotel’s partners, guests, and the Iloilo community for their continued support. A highlight of the night was the breathtaking performance by Daigon sang Kinaadman Chorale, filling the air with classic Christmas hymns that stirred the hearts of guests, followed by the dynamic cultural presentation of the Sidlangan Dance Company, showcasing the vibrancy and heritage of Filipino fiestas.
The event was further honored by the presence of Ms. Cleofe Albiso, Managing Director of Megaworld Hotels and Resorts, along with Courtyard’s valued partners, suppliers, and friends who came together to witness the symbolic lighting of the grand Christmas tree—a radiant centerpiece representing joy, unity, and hope for the coming year.
Guests marveled at the hotel’s lobby set-up, beautifully designed with a Fiesta Feels theme. At its heart stood a symbolic church, reflecting how churches serve as the gathering center of fiestas across the Philippines. Adding a whimsical touch, the Gingerbread Souvenir Shop—meticulously crafted by the talented and creative associates of Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo—brought smiles to guests of all ages.
